BUI attains ISO 27001 certification for commitment to info security standards.
Global technology consultancy and cloud solution provider BUI today announced it has achieved ISO 27001 certification in recognition of its commitment to the highest standards of information security management.
Developed and published by the International Organisation for Standardisation and the International Electrotechnical Commission, ISO 27001 is a comprehensive set of guidelines to help enterprises create and maintain a robust information security management system. To become certified, organisations must comply with the ISO 27001 framework and pass a rigorous audit.
“In a world where data is gathered, processed and stored every minute, it’s absolutely critical to prioritise information security,” says BUI Chief Operating Officer Gayle Roseveare. “Data protection and data management have always been key focus areas for us, and this ISO 27001 certification is an important milestone for our teams. It’s also an acknowledgement of our systematic approach to information security and our vigilance when it comes to safeguarding business data.”

BUI retains prestigious Microsoft accreditation for excellence in modern cloud management
BUI, an award-winning global technology consultancy and Microsoft Solutions Partner, today announced it has been recognised as a Microsoft Azure Expert Managed Services Provider (MSP) for the third consecutive year.
Since its inception in 2018, the Microsoft Azure Expert MSP programme has highlighted elite Microsoft Partners with proven expertise in end-to-end cloud management. Fewer than 150 organisations have been granted the Azure Expert MSP badge to date. BUI achieved re-accreditation in September 2022 after an independent assessment of its staff, its strategic frameworks and methodologies, and its ability to provide world-class support to customers.
“We’re extremely pleased to retain our position among Microsoft’s top-tier cloud partners,” says BUI Managing Director Ryan Roseveare. “The successful renewal of our Azure Expert MSP status is a testament to the dedication of our cloud architects, engineers and technical consultants, who ensure that customers receive exceptional service as they adopt and embrace Azure solutions.”…

Now available: Enterprise-level cybersecurity for SMEs
The kind of endpoint management that was previously only available to massive corporates with large budgets is now within reach of all businesses. BUI’s Richard Ryan explains how it applies to you…
The security landscape is getting more treacherous by the day. Threats are growing exponentially. Last year a company fell victim to a cyberattack every 39 seconds; and cybercrime is expected to cost the global economy $10.5 trillion annually by 2025.
These attacks are not limited to larger firms. In fact, a recent report showed that “small businesses are three times more likely to be targeted by cybercriminals than larger companies.” The survey found that one in five organisations had at least one user account compromised in 2021. “This highlights how many organisations can be vulnerable without the right set of protection tools. Once an intruder is inside, it can be especially difficult to detect until it’s too late and they have already acted,” it added.
Here I should add that smaller firms don’t necessarily face smaller risks. A company in the finance sector with only 100 users could be at serious risk. In fact, one data breach could sink them.
To achieve it, Microsoft partners are required to demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of Azure technologies and Microsoft 365, including modern and virtual desktop administration in enterprise environments. “We undergo an in-depth audit, and it’s a review of our skills, competencies and business performance,” explains BUI Managing Director Ryan Roseveare. “But more than that, it’s an evaluation of our ability to provide the highest levels of service. I’m proud to say the BUI team passed with flying colours once again.”
